The evolved super boss rematch of the Mosquito from earlier demos. Supreme Mosquito returns in Demo 5 with devastating poison attacks, aerial dodges, and a blood-drain mechanic that heals itself. The community considers it one of the hardest rematch bosses alongside Cruel King DX and Mutant.

How to Find Supreme Mosquito โ€” The Hidden Path

Step 1 โ€” Get the Iron Sword: Supreme Mosquito is locked behind the Iron Sword. You must first defeat Bigfoot (the hidden Chapter 2 Mango Tree boss) or progress far enough into the demo to acquire it. Without the Iron Sword you cannot cut the thick grass blocking the path.

Step 2 โ€” Locate Fire Ant Hill: Travel to the Rugged Rainforest and find the Fire Ant Hill entrance. This is the same ant hill you walk through during the Chapter 2 main story.

Step 3 โ€” Cut the Grass at the Back Exit: Once you exit the ant hill on the far side, immediately turn around. There is a wall of thick grass that the Iron Sword can cut. Slash it down to reveal a hidden path leading to a secret room.

Step 4 โ€” Enter the Arena: Walk the hidden path to the Supreme Mosquito arena. The fight begins immediately on contact โ€” no cutscene. The Alternate Reality badge is awarded the moment you land the killing blow.

Solo Strategy

Supreme Mosquito alternates between ground and aerial phases. During aerial phase, it dodges 40% of attacks and uses Swoop for massive damage. Use Fire cards when its wings are exposed for 2x damage. The Blood Drain attack hits for 18 damage and heals Mosquito for 15 HP โ€” interrupt it with Thunder Strike. Phase 3 adds Toxic Clouds that deal 8 damage per turn and stack poison. Keep Antidote ready at all times. The fight is a resource drain โ€” manage BP carefully.

Phase-by-Phase Breakdown

Phase 1 โ€” Ground (500 โ†’ 350 HP)

Supreme Mosquito starts grounded. It uses Swoop (parryable) and Blood Drain. Save your Fireball stacks for later phases โ€” chip it down with Thunder Strike and basic attacks. Keep Antidote equipped in case poison procs trigger.

Phase 2 โ€” Aerial (350 โ†’ 200 HP)

Mosquito takes off. Aerial Dive hits for 26 damage and is unparryable. It dodges 40% of ground attacks. This is where Fireball shines โ€” 2x damage against exposed wings. Heal Wave is critical here to recover from chip damage.

Phase 3 โ€” Toxic Cloud (200 โ†’ 0 HP)

Toxic Cloud is enabled: 8 damage per turn, stacks poison. Antidote becomes mandatory. Continue Inferno pressure to burn through the last 200 HP. Interrupt every Blood Drain with Thunder Strike โ€” letting it self-heal will outpace your damage.

Hard Mode Tips โ€” The Real Test

On Hard Mode the Supreme Mosquito hits noticeably harder, Blood Drain heals for 25 HP instead of 15, and Toxic Cloud ticks for 12 damage per turn. A popular community strategy is to intentionally apply a half-damage debuff to yourself (Defend+) so that the Blood Drain self-heal becomes a smaller swing in HP. Pair that with rocket-shoe chip damage between phases to slowly grind it down โ€” slow but reliable.

Bring 55+ BP and two dedicated heal cards. The fight is a resource drain โ€” managing your BP and heal economy is more important than raw damage output.
